Slugs and Snails!

Slugs and snails are mollusks.

They eat plants and will eat your crop! They especially like leafy greens but eat most things. The best way to deal with them is to sprinkle slug pellets around the plants you want to protect. This will need to be replaced as they wash away during the rain, ideally when they are almost gone is the best time to replace them.

They are covered in slime to protect them from the rough ground.

Snails can live up to 20 years!

Snails and slugs prefer to live in the cold, dark and wet.

Slugs and snails spend lots of time underground. The slugs and snails you see are about 5% of the slugs and snails living as the rest are all living underground.

Slugs and snails lay eggs to reproduce.
