Peach

Vegetable

Planting guide

Peaches bloom quite early in the year and there are few pollinating insects about. This means that you should hand pollinate by using a small brush to gently brush the flowers all around the tree.

Peaches are very thirsty plants and need to be watered every day.

When the peaches start appearing you will need to thin them out to promote proper plant growth. Remove any misshapen fruit and try and keep 15cm from each fruit.

Squirrels and birds love peaches, you may have to put up protection from these critters eating all your peaches.

Plant your peaches in a very sunny spot to prevent damage from frosts early in the year.

Planting Months

November - March

Harvest Months
